Is it a bobcat?

Not sure if you have a bobcat in your back yard? Identifying a bobcat (especially a bobkitten!) can be very difficult. Check out our identifying a bobcat page to see if you have a bobcat on your hands.

Bobcat Sparky's Profile Photo

Status:Female Bobcat - Released

Age:7 year(s), 5 month(s)

Sparky came to us on 08/31/07 and was brought to us by a private individual who found it in the wild.

Sparky was startled out of her den when someone set fire to the wood pile where her mother chose to den. Sparky was barely three weeks old when she tried to escape the blazing wood pile. Sadly, she ran through the flames, and recieved third degree burns on all four feet. We worked with Sparky for three full weeks, we were SURE that we had made it through the critical period, and we were certain we would see her walk again.
