Is it a bobcat?

Not sure if you have a bobcat in your back yard? Identifying a bobcat (especially a bobkitten!) can be very difficult. Check out our identifying a bobcat page to see if you have a bobcat on your hands.

The National Bobcat Research & Rescue Foundation receives no public or tax support of any kind and relies exclusively on private donation and volunteer assistance.

You can help by making a one time donation which will help feed, shelter, and vaccinate the hundreds of cats that come through us each year. We've grown so large so fast that we now need to hire a staff, build a clinic, and create more enclosures!

NBRR/WCCR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. ALL donations of cash, product, and materials are tax deductible!

Every donation dollar will help make a difference, donate today.

Release program bobcats average a rehabilitation cost of more than $2,000. These animals stay in our rehab program for a year or more. Often, when someone happens across them, it is not because they are happy, and healthy with their mother there to look after them. They are usually orphaned due to their mother being trapped or killed, have been without her for days, and are sick, injured, or dying. The resources required to save them are immense. Our sanctuary program bobcats are even more financially demanding. The ones that are young enough to have a chance of wildling up for release have to be re-taught to be wild again. They require specialized care and enclosures. The bobcats that come to us altered or older who will require life time sanctuary are a 30+ year commitment. Though they may not stay with us for the duration of their lives, they will require long term care here with us at NBRR. If you would like to sponsor these kitties, and give them the comforts of home while they stay with us, your donations will be graciously appreciated by the kitties :)
