If you have raised a wild bobcat who has become a pet, and you are now looking to surrender it to a licensed facility either due to enforcement of laws prohibiting an individual to keep a wild animal as a pet, you can no longer afford to feed it an appropriate diet, or for some other reason, please contact us via email to discuss your case. getwild@crosstimberswildlife.org

Not all surrenders will be approved.

Surrenders must be approved by Texas Parks and Wildlife, or the USDA in advance. As much as we would love to house all of the unwanted bobcats nationwide, we simply do not have the facility to do so.

Bobcats will be admitted on a case by case basis. A surrender fee will be required to assist with the bobcat's needs durring it's first month in our care.

Bobcats surrendered to NBRR care WILL NOT BE EUTHANIZED.

We work closely with AZA and USDA acredited facilites to try to place these unwanted, imprinted, illegally kept cats into AZA and USDA approved facilities where they may act as amabassadors for wildlife. However, these facilities are few and far between. It may take months to place your cat.

The only guarantee we can make is that your cat will be placed in a facility that is ether AZA or USDA acredited (or both).

THERE WILL BE NO PRIVATE PARTY ADOPTIONS, PERIOD. DO NOT ASK.

Our liaison will make all arrangements. Cats needing transport must go through all appropriate channels, and have all required and appropriate paperwork with them. If your bobcat(s) do not have their current vaccinations, you will be responsible for vaccination fees uppon completion of arrangements.
